Why did my garage door cable come off the drum?
Usually because the door hit something on the way down, or the tracks are out of alignment and the door binds. Slack cable then jumps the drum groove. We fix the cause as well as the cable.
Should rollers be replaced at the same time as cables?
It makes sense to. The tension is already released and the door is already apart, so the additional labour is minimal, and worn rollers are often what caused the binding in the first place.
Is a frayed cable safe to leave until the weekend?
